Megaplier Explained

So, what is the Megaplier?  During each live draw, a Megaplier ball is drawn.  The Megaplier ball multiplies your winnings by 2 to 5 times on most prizes levels.  The jackpot prize is excluded from the Megaplier multiplier.

The odds of each Megaplier ball and the total prize payouts are shown below.

4) Terminology

Sometimes game information can be confusing.  We created a brief overview of some of the common terms used by the North Carolina Lottery Mega Millions that you should be familiar.

  • Pari-mutuel
  • quick pick (QP)
  • Multi-draw
  • Megapliler

This feature allows a player to multiply their winnings of all set prizes (all prizes except the jackpot prize) by a number randomly drawn just before the Mega Millions drawing. Megaplier players who win any of the set prizes are guaranteed to multiply their winnings up to 2, 3, 4, or 5 times.
