You may have heard of prize payouts before. The prize payout is typically shown as a percentage. It’s calculated by dividing the amount of available prizes by the amount of tickets for sale.
Here’s an example. A game with a 75% prize payout means for every $100 in ticket sales, $75 is paid out on average as prizes.
The smaller the payout percentage, the more money lotteries keep for themselves and to cover expenses. The higher the overall payout, the more money paid out to winners.
Did you know that scratch off games vary in the percent of sales paid to winners? Many players aren’t aware of a game’s payout because most lotteries don’t tell you about them.
Wouldn’t you want to be playing the games that pay out more prize money?
PRO TIP – The Overall Payout is set by the lottery at the start of a game. At LottoEdge, we show you the original payout but we also calculate the “Current Overall Payout” daily which takes into account prize claims and estimated ticket sales so you know if a game has improved its payout to players. You can find both Payouts in the “Overall Game Info” section of each scratch game. (See image below)
Today we are going to share the Top 5 Games with the Best Overall Payout (e.g. money paid to winners). These are games definitely worth checking out. And don’t forget to look at the Current Payout!
Good luck scratching!
