What are Arizona Lottery Scratcher Codes?
You just got home with your Arizona Lottery scratcher and scratched away the silver foil but you aren't sure if you won. You don't want to drive back to the store but you really want to know if you hit a prize. And you've heard rumors about Arizona Lottery Scratcher Codes being able to tell if you won.
Can you rely on those 3 letter codes, known as validation codes, hidden around the play area to tell you? We scoured the Arizona Lottery Website and found scratcher codes are no longer used.
According to the AZ Lottery website, in the beginning, the 3-letter validation codes on scratchers tickets were put in place for retailers, in the event that their systems went down, to validate a ticket in order to pay a player. Today, all ticket validations are required to go through the lottery system using the new terminals. The validation codes were also removed to increase player security. Instead, Barcodes are now printed on every ticket.
