What scratch-off prizes are remaining?
The top remaining scratch off prizes in Florida, ranked from largest to smallest top prize, are as follows. For a complete list of remaining prizes for all games, visit our Florida Lottery Remaining Prizes page.
What does Overall Odds actually mean?
Overall Odds refer to the odds of winning ANY prize, including free tickets and breakeven prizes. Many players mistakenly believe buying just one more ticket than the Overall Odds will guarantee a winner.
For example, if the Overall Odds of winning are 1 in 3.5, that does not mean that if you purchased four tickets that one of them is a guaranteed win. The Overall Odds are the odds of winning any prize, on average, over the course of the entire game.
You can find the Overall Odds on the back of your scratch off ticket. Smart players will instead use the REAL Odds™️ of scratch games, which is similar to Overall Odds; however, all breakeven prizes are stripped out to show the real odds of winning prizes greater than the cost of the ticket.
Is there a trick to always win scratch offs?
It’s important to remember the lottery is ultimately a game of chance where winning takes a combination of planning and luck. There are NO sure wins when playing the lottery. However, playing with a plan can improve your chances of bringing home a prize. We recommend players:
- Develop a Plan – Decide on a specific prize you want to aim for today. That amount can be different each time you play, but have a plan. Don’t be the player that wants to “win anything”. Remember that the smaller your prize goal, the better the odds. Winning a $100 prize is much easier than trying to bring home a $10,000 prize.
- Set a Budget – A budget will help determine the ticket prices to play and how many tickets you can afford.
- Play the Best Odds – Once you have a target prize in mind (maybe $1,000) and a budget (say $20), you can focus in on which game has the BEST odds of winning today.
What is the "BEST" scratch off to buy?
We get asked this question a lot, especially during media interviews. Players that ask this question often and referring to which game has the best Overall Odds. And that is because most people have only heard of Overall Odds and don’t realize prize level data exists. In reality, the “BEST” game to play is going to be different for each player.
Each player has a different prize amount they would be doing cartwheels if they won as well as a budget they can afford. Smart players target the smallest prize amount that will make a difference to them as the odds will be much better than always trying to hit a grand prize.
Which scratch game wins the most?
Players have different meanings when they ask which scratch off wins the most. Let’s breakdown some common interpretations:
Overall Odds – The best overall odds suggest a game will have more frequent “wins.” However, these games usually packed with free tickets or breakeven prizes. Players may see wins more often, but those wins are usually just be winning their money back or a free ticket.
Prize Payout – A higher the Prize Payout means that a greater percentage of ticket sales is paid back to players as prizes. Usually, games with higher ticket prizes offer more substantial prize payouts than cheaper games.
PRO TIP – Players should focus on prizes they want to win and use available data to gain an edge. Knowing when the odds to win have significantly improved, players can better decide when to make their purchases.
