What is Illinois Lotto with Extra Shot?
Illinois Lotto is a three times weekly draw game where you try to pick six numbers between 1 and 50 that match the winning numbers drawn to win a cash prize. You can also select Quick Pick and the random number generator will choose the numbers for you.
Tickets cost $2 per set of numbers. The top prize starts at $2,000,000 and increases each drawing until someone wins the jackpot. As a bonus, your set of numbers will be automatically entered into two additional drawings, Lotto Million 1 and Lotto Million 2, where matching all six numbers in either drawing can win you $1,000,000. To win any of the three top prizes, players must match all six numbers in that drawing.
Additionally, the Illinois Lottery will draw a bonus ball, called Extra Shot, from a pool of separate balls numbered 1 to 25. The Extra Shot can be used to win a prize for matching numbers plus the Extra Shot ball. The Extra Shot only applies to the main jackpot drawing and to non-top prize winnings. All Illinois Lottery results are available immediately after each drawing.
