What Mega Million add on features are available in North Carolina?
NC Mega Millions offers the optional Megaplier feature for an additional $1 per play. Megaplier can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times!
Can I purchase Mega Millions tickets in advance?
To play multiple upcoming draws, request up to 26 Multi Draws either on the playslip or through the retailer. Multi Draws will include the next upcoming draw and be consecutive from that draw. Draws cannot be skipped.
Can I buy Mega Millions tickets online or by mail?
Yes. The State of North Carolina permits residents and visitors to the State to purchase Mega Millions tickets online via the NC Education Lottery’s website.
How late can I purchase Mega Millions tickets on a draw night?
In North Carolina, the Mega Millions drawing takes places at 11:00pm each Tuesday and Friday. In-store sales for the drawing are suspended at 10:45pm on the day of the drawing. Approximately 15 minutes prior to draw time.
Do Mega Millions tickets expire?
In North Carolina, prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date on which the prize was won.
What is Repeat Play?
Repeat Play is a available for all draw games, including Mega Millions, and allows a lottery retailer to scan the bar code on your existing ticket so you can replay your same numbers again! Repeat Play is an alternative to having to fill out a play slip.
Note that Repeat Play reprints all the selections from the original ticket including: your numbers, the number of draws, boards, play type, play amount, and Megaplier Option. Quick Pick wagers will be printed with the same numbers as the original wager.
Repeat Play does recognize MultiDraw and will begin the draws on the first draw day available and continue for as many draws as the original ticket.
